CZ2025 weather files are needed for future simulations.

A decision is required to select the set of weather stations. There are multiple sets of weather stations in use now. Your feedback is requested to confer which set of weather stations is most appropriate. Here is a summary of weather station mappings from DEER, Title 24 documents, and CBECC:

Sources:

• DEER2011 weather stations are listed in the DEER2014 update
• DEER2014 update
• Resolution E-5152 (DEER2023) (pp. A-13 - A-14)
• DEER prototypes in EnergyPlus, since version D26v04.30.00 (see climates.csv and weather folder folder in this repository)
• The 2025 Energy Code Accounting Methodology Report (from 24-BSTD-01) lists standard climate and describes a need to change the weather station in two climate zones.
• Note that Title 24 - 2025 Reference Appendices Table 2-1 lists California Standard Climate Zones. However, it is not in agreement with the 2025 Energy Code Accounting Methodology Report.
• CBECC: the CBECC source repository has some useful documentation including weather station changes and filename patterns for standard climate zone stations: see "Documentation/T24N/CA_Weather_Locations_2021-2025.xlsx".

OneBuilding has distinctly generated CZ2025 weather files (EPW) as well as DDY files. As of writing, CALMAC's copy of CZ2025 weather includes EPW but does not include DDY files.
