great ! but haptic feedback is weak

Im new to android (I was an iPhone user for >15y). I quickly installed fossify calc but wasnt happy with the buttons. They werent responsive (I needed to.push twice a lot).
Your app is a lot more responsive and snappier. Looks nice, so: GREAT WORK.

I also like the haptic feedback option - but the feedback is very very week (almost non existent) on my Galaxy S25. Is this something that can be improved?

Hey! first off welcome to Android!! and second of all, they're based off your device settings, so if your device has set haptics to low vibration then that could be a cause, tbh, I never use # haptics on a phone so you'd need to search how to adaot haptics on a Samsung, the app uses Google's implementation of haptic feedbacks, so I'd trust them to make them strong enough when device allows ahah

Cant change a lot in settings.

But I have Florisboad as keyboard, and there I can change the settings foe the keyboard. Maybe you can look tjere ? It open source also

There's no haptic feedback in the compiled version, nerds.

How'd you plan on getting it on the Play Store? The USA way?

@speeskeek Hey! so I looked into it, and not to get too complicated, but basically there's two ways of creating haptics

1. Using Compose's HapticFeedback interface, it's Compose friendly and works on all version

2. Using the Vibrator class, less Compose friendly (but that's not even an issue tbh) BUT it requires minSDK to be 26, Vanilla's minSDK is 23, which TL;DR would require be to drop Android 6 & 7 support (yes, some people still use those, and it's by removing support for them that we create E-waste D:)

So your best bet would be to increase haptics at a system level, since HapticFeedback relies on these settings anyways
