As of the 3.1.7 update, shuffling the playlist is no longer functional. In version 3.1.6. the shuffle function worked only when the playlist was sorted by artist. In versions 3.1.7. and 4.0.0 pressing the shuffle button skips to a random song, but follows thereafter only the chosen sorting order (artist, title etc.)
