Reusing svcore outside of Sonic Visualiser?

Hello,

I'm most interested by the spectrogram which is the best that I can currently find on linux.
I'd like to embed it in a realtime program.

I looked at the code but couldn't figure out if that would be easy to just reuse some parts of the codebase?

Is there an example for that somewhere?
