Feature Request that may actually be a separate App Request #115

Jumpcut makes my cut/paste clipboard situation great-- I use it to juggle the several things I have cut/paste as a developer. I may need a URL and a few field names and I don't have to care what order I copy them or from what app. You all already make a product that helps me several times daily.

This isn't an issue or bug or anything like that. Jumpcut works flawlessly for me as it is intended to be used.

...There are times I want a static canned response or I use a value very frequently. ...A stupid example is the ASCII shrug becuase I am a oldster, a certified "unc".

¯_(ツ)_/¯

I would love a plugin/app that allows me to set my own jumpcut style strings-- but, instead of a constantly rolling list of things I have cut/copy, they are persistent. If I set the ASCII shrug as one of the values I want, it is there every day afterward. It doesn't roll off the list as I use the plugin...

It could be handled by making jumpcut entries "sticky" or "persistent" or "keep" or some terminology you like that stops it from rolling off the list.

--I write software and here's my everyone has buttholes in context to opinions hot take,... to not muddy the waters of the very straight forward Jumpcut app which makes it highly intuitive, I would repurpose the jumpcut codebase as a separate plugin. Be able to set the strings in the plugin configuration instead of watching the cut/copy ?events?. That changes the code mechanism of inserting strings into the UI select list. Then use the existing codebase functionality on the tail end to copy/paste them from that persistent list the same as Jumpcut does.

Stretch goal, be able to sort the list... so, I can put the one I need most frequently at the top.

For a serious example, I often get work requests that aren't tasks me or my team can complete. I often open a text file, copy a canned response, then switch over to my web browser to reply to the ticket, and unassign me/mine from the ticket. I use web email to message the proper group and cc the evil user. (Users are all evil-- even me right now, #Am-I-Right‽)

I also would put the interrobang, ‽, in the persistent string plugin. It is my favorite non-standard punctuation mark.

I appreciate you taking time to peruse my request.
