bug? right clicks are not right since upgrading

since upgrading to v0.8.4 (20231204) I have found I can no longer just right-click on the menu bar and something immediately happens

instead I need to now click TWICE

this only seems to affect the RIGHT CLICK on the menu bar - when I left click the context-menu immediately appears, but if I right click, the first time absolutely NOTHING happens and then I need to right-click a second time for the context-menu to appear

to be clear, this behaviour was NOT present in the previous version, before I upgraded

@mmehmet Can you give me any details on what version of macOS you're using? Also, are you using a MacBook touchpad, a mouse, or some other input device? Thanks!

this is an M1 Macbook running OS 14.5

I am primarily using an Apple "magic mouse" but I can confirm the exact same behaviour when using the touchpad... I don't have a wired/USB mouse handy to try it with, but I would never use one anyway

@snark I've noticed it also seems to have become quite bad at actually listing stuff I've copied to the clipboard now... possibly related?

is there any way I can downgrade back to the previously working-just-fine version?

@mmehmet Sure; the binary for 0.83 is available here: https://github.com/snark/jumpcut/releases/tag/v0.83 -- nothing about the actual engine changed between 0.83 and 0.84, however, so that seems unlikely to resolve whatever environmental issue or issues are causing the behavior. Let me know if I'm wrong and it does, however!

I found I had a binary for 0.82 so I reinstalled that and can confirm it is back to working as expected, after downgrading... not sure if I had ever used 0.83 but I think I might just stick with 0.82 for the time being...
