Wouldn't it make sense to use the internal github wiki to document phpwms core functions and some use cases? I just reverse engineered imagespecial_custom_fields and I wished it was a bit better documented.
Maybe some of the phpwcms-howto.de content can be moved over here too?
I know it's hard to keep it updated etc. but it's worth a try. What do you think?

I just tried to research any official documentation on how to upgrade old phpwcms to the latest version and there are so many outdated links and information:

• phpwcms-docu.de is a complete spam site now, but still linked in http://www.phpwcms-howto.de/wiki/doku.php/deutsch/installation/update
• http://docu.phpwcms.org/ seems to be stuck in 2015 and refers to 1.7.x as the latest version
• https://github.com/slackero/phpwcms/wiki/Update-PHP-to-version-5.5-or-5.6 still contains a broken link to the already merged branch with PHP7 support

Some essential guides should always be kept up to date and close to the source, so the internal Github wiki would be a good choice.
