Thanks for maintaining this library! The 22621.2213 fix also mostly works for me. The one exception I noticed is that RegisterPostMessageHook no longer works for me. That is, with the simple script example from the readme of this repo, this snippet no longer seems to get triggered on desktop changes:

DllCall(RegisterPostMessageHookProc, Int, hwnd, Int, 0x1400 + 30)
OnMessage(0x1400 + 30, "VWMess")
VWMess(wParam, lParam, msg, hwnd) {
; nothing in here gets executed when desktops change
}

Does any one else run into the same issue? I am on 22621.2428.

It is working correctly for me on 22621.2428. Using AHK2, so the callback would be OnMessage(0x1400 + 30, VWMess) [no quotes] and the input hwnd is A_ScriptHwnd to the RegisterPostMessageHookProc call.

Thanks for confirming! Not sure why it doesn't work for me.

Anyhow, I saw that @Ciantic, the author of the original VDA repo, has updated their repo to the latest Win11. Using their VDA solved the issue for me.

Your mention of @Ciantic reminded me that I also am using that version (written in Rust), and the latest version here does NOT capture the virtual window changes as you stated. I went back and check which version I am using and confirmed this. Sorry about the confusion. I really wish MS would nail down their API (and even publish it).

FWIW I'm using this but haven't had to update it in 2 years.

When I switch desktop using keyboard shortcuts or the mouse (scroll over taskbar) I get a tooltip with the desktop number, so some sort of OnDesktopSwitch hook seems to be working.

It fixed it for me, I now get the notifications on desktop changes, Thank you! P.S. On 22631.2506 currently.
