Expectations

Implement report rejection:

1. Set status (rejected)
2. Record rejection reason
3. Validator notes

Acceptance Criteria

• Validator must be assigned validated_by
• Prevent modification after rejection

I’d like to work on this issue as it aligns with my experience building status-based workflows and enforcing data integrity in validation systems. I’ve implemented similar features where records move through review stages and access is role-dependent. My plan includes updating the report model to include rejected status, rejection_reason, and validator_notes, assigning the correct validated_by user, and ensuring rejected reports can no longer be modified. I’ll reference the setup migration script for consistency and write tests to verify the full rejection flow, including edge cases. I’m confident I can deliver a clean, robust solution that meets the acceptance criteria and supports Dust Wave 2’s review process.

Hi! @ONEONUORA , I've completed the implementation for this feature - the validator can now reject reports with a reason and notes, and the report becomes immutable after rejection.
