Enabling RC_PULS_REVERSE or disabling RC_CALIBRATION breaks firmware

I'm working on an RC Timer 40A ESC using the 'tgy.inc' board file and if I enable RC_PULS_REVERSE or disable RC_CALIBRATION, the ESC won't arm or do anything when I power it up.

I've tried flashing it without these settings changed and it works fine. The only other settings I changed were STOP_RC_PULS = 1000 and FULL_RC_PULS = 2000, but I've tried with the default values of these as well and it still breaks.
