Parse /proc instead of forking to ip for linux

Not all systems have ip installed, and you can just access data from /proc/net/route and /proc/net/ipv6_route directly.

That would be a welcome addition. The implementation should also respect metrics when multiple gateways are present, something I've noticed is missing in the current Linux implementation.
