It's not always obvious how to pronounce these projects' names. Posts that capture the etymology and pronunciation of common ones might be interesting. Can you find any I'm pronouncing incorrectly in class? :)

One I've had wrong for years is Debian. I've always pronounced it DEEB-ian. Apparently it's pronounced deb-ee-an (dɛbiən in IPA)
