I'm sorry you've encountered difficulties! Can you post the error messages you get when compiling? Thanks. |

If you have all the packages in requirements.txt already installed, then
you can leave the pip command commented out. But the rest of that line -
everything after the first semicolon - is crucial. Pleaase put a linebreak
after the semicolon so the script (the makefile?)
# python3 -m pip install -r requirements.txt;
touch src/amy.c; python3 -m pip install . --force-reinstall; cd ..

try it again?

You should be able to fix the externally-managed install error by enabling
a venv before doing the build e.g.
python3 -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate
With that, you won’t need to comment out the first pip either.

Did you do the venv thing? As I understand it, once you’ve activated your
venv, the managed install problem should go away.
I’m surprised it’s saying that the pip module is not installed. I would
remove the #, remove the extra line break after the semicolon, activate the
venv, then try the make again.

Has anyone run into this error? After running make several times, installing all prerequisites, updating my linux distribution, installing the latest glib toolchain, checking makefiles, build scripts, installing python, pipx and whatnot, I have run out of ideas.
Everything compiles, except for c_amy.
Could use some help here
