line_num not compatible with CursorLineNr highlight group

With this plugin enabled, the CursorLineNr highlight group no longer controls the current line number's color. Is there a way to have line_num enabled and still change the color of the current line number?

Note how the line number changes from yellow to gray depending on whether you're inside a block or not
