Engineering Notation

As an engineer it would be best to have a notation where
the exponent is a multiple of 3.

I like my answers to be always in the engineering notation instead of scientific notation

e.g.
5e3 Hz = 5kHz
2e-3 g = 2 mg

any way to achieve that?
