AMI Reconnect failed....

I have been trying to get your asterlink to work… I did get it compiled for the raspberry pi, but I keep getting the error “AMI Reconnect failed” I am running ‘Incredible PBX for Raspberry Pi 15.0.23.11 ’ and could really use some input. How do I get this to work?

Hello. You need to configure AMI user first.
On pbx admin: Settings -> Asterisk Manager Users -> Add manager -> Create New -> Apply config

Name: <user for asterlink>
Secret: <password for asterlink>

Then update user and pass in conf.yml with new auth details.

Ok, I have added a manager to the Asterisk manage users as asterlink and I have set a password and have updated the conf.yml file.

I still l get the AMI Reconnect failed message.

One user on the Voip-info.org site said "The amportal command is long gone. I am going to guess that you are on unsupported versions of everything." So, could the AMI portal be gone? I have tried this on Asterisk version 13.22.0 and Asterisk Version: 16.7.0 with the same result.

AMI host in conf.yml should also be localhost or 127.0.0.1.
To check if user was added correctly you can run the following command: cat /etc/asterisk/manager_additional.conf .
