Make headings 2 and 3 bolder

These don't stand out much in the new materials theme. Can't seem to make bolder in CSS. 

Have tried:
font-weight: bold;
font-weight: bolder;
font-weight: 900;

Internet suggests changing font for heading but that seems a bit annoying.
