Set of rasters will only upload if projected in 3857

We received some rasters from the Belize team that wouldn't upload. They would hang and timeout on the reprojection step. The original file was in a region-specific CRS so I converted to 4326, but the same thing occurred in seasketch. I converted again to 3857 and the upload worked. Here's the original tiff:

How long did it timeout for? Reprojection takes a long time so uploading it in 3857 saves some time by skipping that step.

I'm not sure, maybe 10 minutes, but it eventually failed.
