I also had that idea to "brute force" the fsh file....I have try the script on an real fsh file coming from my C120 . got some "unknown values and error",but the waypoints are ok on opencpn.
I don't know how to give you access to my archive file,so I will fork your rep and add a branch with the files.

Some of the unknown values are expected, and there are definitely some parsing errors when it sees data that wasn't in my original samples. I finally got around to exporting another fsh from my C70 with tracks so I can add support for that, as well as work on dealing with some of the unknown values and parsing errors. The good news is that waypoints and routes do seem to work pretty well, even though the code is pretty rough at this point!

I would love your fsh file(s) and I promise I will not make the data public or give the data in it to anyone, but use it only to improve the parsing. More data samples is really helpful to handle all the various cases. You can also email it to me by looking at my github username, put a "L" in front of that and then at gmail. Otherwise it's fine to fork if you want to go that route. Thanks a bunch!

Good job! I used your findings in my decoder for FSH files http://www.abenteuerland.at/download/parsefsh/ and I could already find some additional information.

I would also appreciate to receive some archive.fsh files to be able to do more research on it.
