Write documentation/manual

I think we make using our toolbox rather difficult - unless you play around with the code, it's hard to find out how to work with SCoT. We should put more priority on writing good documentation. For example, I can never remember how to use different backends, so if nothing else, I would directly benefit from more extensive help :-).
