I am testing uberdoc on Fedora 18. After "uberdoc init", and "uberdoc build -p", I get the following error:

pandoc: Error producing PDF from TeX source.
! Missing number, treated as zero.

The HTML file gets created but not the .pdf file. Pandoc version is pandoc-1.9.4.5-2.fc18.x86_64. What could be the problem?

Can you try updating to a more recent Pandoc version first? Please follow the Linux instructions on http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/installing.html (install haskel-platform, then cabal install pandoc).
I know that Pandoc 1.9 caused some other problems for me as well.

The problem is that the Latex template expects the variable tocdepth to be set by pandoc, which doesn't seem to happen. If you do "uberdoc customize" you will end up with a copy of the default.tex template in your doc folder. For debugging, you could also try to change this line in default.tex from
\setcounter{tocdepth}{}
to
\setcounter{3}{}

Hope this helps. Please let me know, I mainly tested on MacOS and Ubuntu.

The full line in default.tex is

\setcounter{tocdepth}{$toc-depth$}

the variable is actually the second param, sorry, you could try

\setcounter{tocdepth}{3}

did you update pandoc to 1.10+? What latex distribution?
