Incompatible AR

Hello
I get an error when I try to backup or flash my AR. It has the version 1.7f, and the Satiator gives me this error:
Unsupported Flash ID
5345:4741

Is there a way to get it working with this AR?

Better tear down your cart and take a photo of the flash chip.

If you are using a Magic Card v2 or "Ultimate Game Memory Card", the MPLD in the cartridge will emulate the flash chip manufacture id and device id and you will get value like "5345:4741"("SEGA"). In this case, the actual chip inside the cartridge is a UV EPROM. You have no way to reprogram without a programmer(and you need to desolder the UV EPROM chip, erase it in a UV eraser box first).

And there are reports that described fake SST29EE010 chip reporting "5345:4741" as the device id for there is no Software ID gather process inside these 3rd party flash chip. In this case, the chip programming process is the same as the original 29EE010. You can force reprogram it with other flashing software like Saturn Save Data Manager disc. But you need to recreate a custom disc image with the modified ROM file, replace one of the ROM inside the disc and use exactly the same filename.

The value 5345:4741 is actually the ASCII value SEGA - which is the cartridge data header normally written at the start of Flash. So this is read when the Flash chips both fail to enter ID mode. Some (counterfeit?) SST flash chips only support a vendor-specific ID mode entry sequence, but it can be done.

It is an AR Pro, I attached pics of the chips. I used the newest Satiator menu and firmware (both downloaded today).

Wow, I didn't realise Motorola ever fabbed their own Flash! I can't find a datasheet anywhere unfortunately. Could you please try menu 59? It has slightly different ID code and should hopefully get us a valid ID

I installed menu v59 and ran the procedure again. I still just see this:
unsupported flash ID
5345:4741
Is there anything else I can try?
