Understanding adc/dac disabled

Dear developers of cross-sim,
I have trouble understanding setting adc/dac_bits=0. Does that mean there are no quantization at all between different layers? How does that map to real situations (infinite precision adc/dac)? Because I have observed that setting them both to zero leads to higher accuracy, which contracdicts the intuition that having most analog NNs have adc/dac between layers to improve the accuracy.

CrossSim broadly adopts the convention that bits=0 for models (ADC, DAC, cells) implies no quantization/infinite precision. CrossSim assumes that all AnalogCores have a DAC at the input and an ADC at the output, although the default CrossSimParameters object makes both of these Ideal.
