strobe function not usable

I have it installed on android 4.1.2 I9082 and the strobe function seeemed to work at first but now 95% of the slider range is below one flash a second which puts the faster flash rates all in a few mm of slider. There need to be settings for the range endpoint frequencies and a fine flash rate control.
It would also be nice if the fine control could phase lock the rotating object using the camera and an on screen line to detect the part of the image for the phase lock function. ie specify that motion occurs along this direction so a brightness peak could be locked.
I also tried android 6.0.1 on a p-585y tablet but still the same problem.
