Do not show summary when for preference if it is a password

I would like to control showing of  the summary  when I am using EditTextPreference. Or at least do not show summary when the preference is password (input type is either  TYPE_CLASS_TEXT | TYPE_TEXT_VARIATION_PASSWORD or TYPE_CLASS_NUMBER | TYPE_NUMBER_VARIATION_PASSWORD)
