Feature Request: Make watched state filter specific for user

Hi, I am using my Plex with different home users. These are already considered for the movie poster that is created by Movie Roulette. However, when a random movie is selected, my guess is, that the watch history of the main account is taken as reference. It would be great to have the ability to select the watch history to which the random movie is selected in reference to.

E.g. My main account is only for maintenance. Everyone in the family has their own home user. Therefore, all movies are "unwatched" in the main account.

Maybe the watch history can be selected similarly as the settings for the movie poster? Selecting all users that should be considered for watch history and setting a preferred user (default). Then having the ability to switch to another user in the movie screen through the filter?

Maybe my use case is edge, but this would be terrific! :-D

Hi,

you can do this by enabling authentication. Then each logged on user will receive their own info.

I don't think that is the same functionality. I recognized that I was not specifc in the issue. I am using my plex account as admin user and all family member have managed users and therefore no dedicated plex credentials.

By logging in with the Plex authentication I can login with my plex account, which is equivalent to the main plex user (the account I use for administration). The managed Users do not have their own Plex auth login credentials. Therefore, this path does not make the individual watch history available.

The history of the managed users could be made available by querrying the plex server with the managed user specific token instead of the Plex Account token:

Use the Plex API to find the right token:
Find your own admin authentication token using the steps outlined in the article I linked above.
Go to https://plex.tv/api/users?X-Plex-Token=YOUR_TOKEN to get a list of all users associated with your account.
Find the name of the managed user and copy both their id and machineIdentifier: https://i.imgur.com/It9vVpL.png
Using the machineIdentifier, go to https://plex.tv/api/servers/MACHINE_ID/shared_servers?X-Plex-Token=YOUR_TOKEN
In that list, search for the user id from the users page and then copy the accessToken.

In v4.1 you can now add and authenticate with managed users. Auth is necesarry for this, it led to too many issues when I tried without login.
