Description

I'm trying to execute part of the hammerpede wrapper script hp_bootstrap.py when I got an error command spoa ... returned non-zero exit status 132. as part of my error.

subprocess.CalledProcessError: Command 'spoa -l 1 -r 1 /home/anshul1/scratch/seq/pychopper_out5_hmm/hits_REV.fasta > /home/anshul1/scratch/seq/pychopper_out5_hmm/spoa_aln_hits_REV.fasta' returned non-zero exit status 132.

The command for which I was getting the error, was:
spoa -l 1 -r 1 /home/anshul1/scratch/seq/pychopper_out5_hmm/hits_REV.fasta > /home/anshul1/scratch/seq/pychopper_out5_hmm/spoa_aln_hits_REV.fasta

So I tried it on the cluster with a salloc interactive session (8GB memory & 1 CPU) and that's when I got the error:
Illegal instruction (core dumped)

My lib versions:

gcc/9.3.0
libfabric/1.10.1
blis/0.8.1
gcccore/.9.3.0
openmpi/4.0.3
flexiblas/3.0.4
gentoo/2020
ucx/1.8.0
hmmer/3.3.2
spoa/3.4.0

I've more posted details in another issue: nanoporetech/hammerpede#3 (comment)
Please help me figure out what's going wrong
