2DS on 6.0.0-12U

I need help with hacking my device, a 2ds on 6.0 software. I want to do a system backup so I can always revert back to the software that I am on now (in case I mess things up). I do not want to be hammered on for asking for help, I am looking for support. It would be great if someone could explain this stuff to me (emunand, sysnand, etc I have rooted android phones and I can do this I just need the help right now.

I will be patient because I do not want to brick my device.
