Describe your issue
When I come back to my computer (M1 Mac Mini, 16GB RAM) after long periods of idleness and try to change the audio settings, clicking on the menubar icon has a major delay and a spinning beachball before eventually activating. I'm not sure when it started, but certainly after I purchased a license. I'll do more tests, but I'm wondering if it's because now I have the 'Now Playing' display enabled.
Steps to reproduce
- Leave Better Audio in the menubar
- Leave the computer idle/asleep for a long time (> 6 hours, for sure. Not sure what the threshold is)
- Click on the Better Audio icon in the menubar
- Notice that the menu does not drop down, but there's a spinning beachball instead. This eventually resolves and things work as normal afterwards.
What was the expected result?
When clicking on the menubar icon for Better Audio, the menu drops down quickly (< 1s).
Put here any screenshots or videos (optional)
I'll try to get a video the next time I leave the machine idle.
Platform
macOS
Application version
26.5.3
Operating system (name + version)
macOS 15.6
