Is it possible to make PiPup play a notification sound, like an MP3 when triggering a popup?

I'd like to have it play an MP3 of an AI voice saying something like, "Warning, Motion Detected in the Backyard."
In case I'm not looking at the tv when the event happens, or am out of the room, but within earshot of the tv.
