e-Paper drivers do not install

When running "Running command git clone --filter=blob:none --quiet https://github.com/waveshareteam/e-Paper.git /tmp/pip-install-6y5x_qn1/waveshare-epd_b844ba91c1a843229b2e7946e39dd413" none of the drivers and dependencies are installed.
Example error:
"error: unable to write file E-paper_Separate_Program/3.6inch_e-Paper_E/STM32-F103ZET6/Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F1xx/Source/Templates/iar/linker/stm32f107xc_flash.icf"

Based on the command it looks like you're trying to install the Waveshare drivers. That specific command is not one that is part of the install for this project. I double checked the omni-epd project as well and that is not the install command from there either. It looks like you're trying to clone the entire repo instead of just selectively installing the drivers you need with pip.

Hi, the error comes up when I try the "pip3 install git+https://github.com/robweber/omni-epd.git#egg=omni-epd" command from within a virtual environment. I don't get the error using the install script from the Tom Whitwell SlowMovie page but that doesn't install the 7in3e option. I've got it working using the 7in3f. It looks like the 0.4.2 version of omni-epd isn't pulling from waveshare.

Ok I think I see where you're coming from now. The interplay between the projects was confusing me as you mentioned SlowMovie but this is not SlowMovie; however they both use omni-epd. This is really more of an omni-epd install problem.

From a clean virtual environment I ran the same commands. The result is in this pastebin link. It worked for me and both VSMP and SlowMovie ran afterwards. The relevant bits are:

The Waveshare repo is a giant mess and doesn't make a whole lot of sense in terms of organization. I ran a clean clone of just that repo and noted the full file size is 1.47GB just to clone it. Is it possible you're filling up your hard drive during the clone? A few Google searches of the error you're getting indicate they're errors local to your device and indicate either a lack of file permissions (unlikely since the rest worked) or disk space.
