Interoperation with other Open Source services using Open Standards  #16

It's much easier to attract users to a service if it connects with a decentralized network of other services, where there are already heaps of people to connect with. This also allows people to move between services without losing the ability to communication with the same people, which helps keeps services honest (like-in, not lock-in).

Have you considered enabling people using brax.me to connect with people using other Open Source services? Eg you could implement XMPP/OMEMO protocols to allow brax.me users to start encrypted chats with people using servers running XMPP software, or join group chats. Same with Matrix protocol.

The same is true for social media posts. These can be federated over the ActivityPub protocol, which is used by Mastodon among a number of others. There are a number of other social media federation protocols you could also evaluate, including Zot protocol, and the newer AT Protocol being developed by BlueSky, and the more P2P-style Nostr protocol.
