How can the collection day not just the date. Ie. Thursday an not just 14/11/2025

Because not everyone's collection is weekly, and some have alternating bins each week, some even have different days etc.

Whats the problem you're trying to solve? Do you want to see day instead of a date? Or something else

yeah, to display the day. I have it set to only dispay the bins for the coming week. Around bank holidays and Christmas and new year the day of collection often changes or additional days are added. It be easier to glance and notice that my black in this week is Tuesday and not Monday. It's just more obvious a difference than displaying the date.

Step 1: Install custom cards from HACS

Step 2: Install template-entity-row from HACS

Step 3: Add template sensors to your configuration.yaml

Optional: Auto-sorting by days remaining

If you want the items listed in your card to automatically reorder themselves so the nearest collection day is always at the top, wrap the card in auto-entities:

1. Install auto-entities from HACS

The sort section tells auto-entities to order by the numeric state value (days until collection), so the card automatically updates as days change.
