03 - Quick Start

Get MultiWA running in under 5 minutes.


Prerequisites

  • Docker & Docker Compose installed
  • OR Node.js 20+ and PostgreSQL

Option A: Docker (Recommended)

# 1. Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/ribato22/multiwa.git
cd multiwa

# 2. Copy environment file
cp .env.example .env

# 3. Start with Docker Compose
docker compose up -d

# 4. Access the services
# Dashboard: http://localhost:3000
# API:       http://localhost:3001/api
# Swagger:   http://localhost:3001/api/docs

Option B: Local Development

# 1. Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/ribato22/multiwa.git
cd multiwa

# 2. Install dependencies
pnpm install

# 3. Setup environment
cp .env.example .env
# Edit .env with your PostgreSQL connection

# 4. Run database migrations
pnpm prisma migrate dev

# 5. Start development servers
pnpm dev

# Dashboard: http://localhost:3000
# API:       http://localhost:3001/api

First Steps

1. Create a Profile

2. Get QR Code

3. Scan QR with WhatsApp

Open WhatsApp on your phone → Linked Devices → Scan the QR code

4. Send a Message
