I found an error on my psram and now the system will come up. I can run the mem command in mos2 and show correct memory. The small basic runs in that directory. I can not run any program for the fos directory. It locks up and reboots. On every program selected. Could there be an error in the UF2 file you put in release? About to pull my hair out on this one. Is there some further setup I am missing?

@Gadgetjack99 — good progress! If MOS2 works and PSRAM is detected, your hardware is fine. The issue is almost certainly the app binaries on your SD card.

FRANK OS apps are standalone ELF files loaded from the /fos/ directory on the SD card. If they're missing, outdated, or were built against a different firmware version, every app will crash on launch — which matches exactly what you're seeing.

Fix

1. Download sdcard.zip from the v1.01 release
2. Extract it — you'll get a sdcard/ folder containing fos/ and mos2/ directories
3. Copy the fos/ folder to your SD card, replacing whatever is there now
4. Also make sure you're running the matching frankos_m2_1_01.uf2 firmware from the same release

The firmware and app binaries must be from the same release to be compatible.

Verify

After copying, your SD card should have these files in /fos/:

calculator    digger    frankamp    kickstart    minesweeper
notepad       paintbrush    pshell    solitaire    zxspectrum
videoplayer   basic

Plus corresponding .inf and .ico files for each app.
