difficulty/inconvenience on manually downloaded mods

They don't contain info.json typically, a significant number of them don't, making this wonderful tool obsolete.

I second this, it's just a p.i.t.a, a good majority of mods simply don't have one and authors simply aren't interested in creating one just for this one purpose either. Seems like the manager is abandoned though so I'm not holding any hope for a fix. Shame since it is really the only way to mod on Mac atm.
