Error: failed to load external entity

Hi there,

when I use the code to extract the FOMC date from 1936 to 2009, I was returned the following Error:

Error: failed to load external entity "http://www.federalreserve.gov/monetarypolicy/fomchistorical1936.htm"

While I use the code to extract the FOMC date from 2009, I obtain the following Error:

Error in curl::curl_fetch_memory(url, handle = handle) :
Failure when receiving data from the peer

I'm wondering if you can help me out.

Unfortunately it's no longer being supported as per my note on the blog at

"UPDATE 2019: Please note that the Fed has once again changed the HTML format of their webpage and so my old code won't work now. Also I don't use the code nor the dates now, so I won't be updating the code anymore. But you can download the csv file below for dates up until mid-2018."
