Issue Description

The feature editor window no longer shows test coverage from NCrunch, and does not have NCrunch actions on the context menu (run/debug test etc). It is also not possible to go from the code to the test using the context menu in source code under test

Could you please check your logs and post some screenshots what was working, and now not?

Also when was it working? (the "no longer")

I don't think many maintainers use NCrunch and I also don't know if this is a Reqnroll or VS 2026 issue.

I can’t send screenshots of what was working, because now it isn’t… What is not working is simple to explain. As I said, there are no code coverage dots on the lines in the feature editor (see the NCrunch site for a screenshot of that), and you cannot navigate from a test in the NCrunch test explorer to the RR scenario. This was all working until the last update of ReqnRoll. The RR feature editor page looks different now – there is code folding going on that wasn’t there before, for example. So I’m guessing the problem is at your end, and that NCrunch no longer knows how to draw on the editor I also have no idea where the problem lies, but it’s broken the link between my two most useful tools. All programmers should be using NCrunch, really, because it’s far and away the best test runner. In interviews, if someone is not using it, or hasn’t even heard of it, I always dive into what they know about unit testing… 😉 I have also reported this to NCrunch, and I know for sure that they know about ReqnRoll.

@JimCooperGH I am also using NCrunch and the NCrunch creator is a friend of Reqnroll... ;-) Could you please link the NCrunch support case you have created here?

But I fear there are multiple issues. I have just noticed today, that with v3.0 NCrunch does not work, because all tests fail during execution with an error: Reqnroll.BoDi.ObjectContainerException: Interface cannot be resolved: Reqnroll.UnitTestProvider.IUnitTestRuntimeProvider('nunit'). But despite of that I still see the code coverage dots.

Could you please tell the Reqnroll version you have used? Maybe a little dummy project that reproduces the problem on your side?

Yes, I raised the issue there too, of course :-) That seems to have fixed my navigation and coverage issues
