[Question] Support for FrankenPHP

Hi,

I am evaluating using FrankenPHP in legacy application. I am looking for some tools that would help me check if the application is leaking memory. I have some questions about this:

1. Does reli-prof could be used in like before/after compare mode?
2. Does this application support FrankenPHP ? It has php binary compiled into Caddy - that will probably cause some issues ?
3. Do you think this is something you could implement? Scenario would be:
   • enable monitoring
   • run one request
   • finish snapshot
   • run second request
   • finish snapshot
   • compare snapshots, list places that changed

With FrankenPHP gaining popularity with recent move under The PHP Foundation having a tool that would help with adoption would be great :)

Hi, thank you for looking our project.

1. Does reli-prof could be used in like before/after compare mode?

Currently such a feature is not implemented.
It's not so difficult to implement, though. I just don't have enough time and energy for now.
If you kick reli from a specific portion of the target script, you can get multiple memory snapshot of the same timing of different executions.
It's possible to get differences between them by your script that parse the output JSON and extracts context trees while abstracting specific memory addresses away.

2. Does this application support FrankenPHP ? It has php binary compiled into Caddy - that will probably cause some issues ?

Currently only debug builds of FrankenPHP with dynamic binary is supported on 0.12.x.

When #451 is completed, non-debug binary will be supported too.

3. Do you think this is something you could implement? Scenario would be

Maybe, in the future. That would be a feature which does basically the same as in the answer to question 1.
The current implementation of the memory profiling mode is just slow. I don't think it's suited for continuous profiling of memory usages. So the feature woudn't be a always-on thing.
