iOS App Crash on Startup (iOS - 17) When Using react-native-razorpay with Expo SDK 53

I am encountering a crash on application startup on iOS when integrating react-native-razorpay (version 2.3.1) in a project using Expo SDK 53.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a new Expo project (using "expo": "~53.0.24").
2. Install Razorpay:

   npm install react-native-razorpay@2.3.1

3. Archive the build and try to open the app in iOS 17 device. (The app crashes on start)

Update

I downgraded to 2.3.0 still it was crashing , then fixed the pod version to "pod 'razorpay-pod', '1.4.7'" in the podfile and now its working fine

@SamarthKadam is your project eas managed or a barebones app? Reason for asking, this crash which is explicitly happening for iOS 17 is due to an internal iOS library that the react-native-razorpay pacakge is used. While we have already fixed the issue and released a new version, it looks like the pods in your project are not being updated. Could you clarify this?

Issue: RCTCallableJSModules is not set crash on iOS in bare React Native app

I'm using a bare React Native app (no Expo) and after updating the Razorpay React Native SDK, I’m consistently getting this crash on iOS:

Fatal Exception: NSInternalInconsistencyException
Error when sending event: expiration with body: { }.
RCTCallableJSModules is not set.

I updated to:

Razorpay React Native SDK: 2.3.1

Pods: 1.5.0

I deleted Pods/, Podfile.lock, cleaned the build folder, and reinstalled pods, but the issue still occurs.

@ts-sravan @SamarthKadam , we may have found out the reason for this issue. Not verified at this point.
In your projects, could you please add

pod 'react-native-razorpay', :path=>'../node_modules/react-native-razorpay'

in your Podfile and verify if it starts working?

Our current assumption is that it's happening because of auto-linking failure. Still not sure why it would break for certain versions and not for others, but this step would help us understand the crux of it.

tried still same error modal opned adn closed automatically and screen freezes

i added requestframe to overcome freezing

@ts-sravan can you please share a video here vivek.shindhe@razorpay.com or raise a ticket on the dashboard. It allows us to quickly close the back and forths. When you say modal do you mean the Razorpay modal?

tried 2.2.2 with pod 1.4.7

@ts-sravan I was also facing the similar issue. Try to call this checkout method with 0.5s delay. Specifically happens in iOS
