Need some insights on Metro

Hi there,
Need some insights on the following this:

• What is the need for metro pub-sub and What problems does it solve at a scale that other PubSub/ Message Queues can't?
• How does it work internally, any doc or diagram?
• Finally, What are the use cases that we can solve with metro, I am also looking for a specific type of pub-sub solution. I have built one using Redis in past but looking for a better one.
