- Simulate things like loss of hydraulic pressure, etc.
- Simulate a hydraulic leak at a random or adjustable speed, leading to gradual loss of hydraulic pressure.
- Reference De Havilland manuals for information on what other systems (i.e control surfaces) will fail and become partially or fully inoperable in the event of hydraulic failure.
