Couldn't connect to TextMate!

Hi, 

I am using Sublime text 3 and have installed rmate using pip (I am on an HPC so dont have sudo rights). I have forwarded the default port, but when I try to edit a file (with sublime open on my local machine) I get the following error:
Couldn't connect to TextMate!

Any help is much appreciated!
