URL fails validator

Try the develop branch - it works fine for me on that. Gemfile:
gem 'valid_url', git: 'https://github.com/ralovets/valid_url.git', ref: 'develop'

Had the same issue. Tried the develop branch as proposed by coco9nyc, worked for me!
