Incorporating dissent

Based on our discussions with Leo and Paula, a key part of the MoSA database (and thus ontology) will be its ability to incorporate different views. How can we do this?

One question to help think through this might be: what is the primary mental model for this? Perhaps it is closer to a wiki than a traditional database? However, wikis typically involve different views disputing the one perspective which will be labelled the truth. What we're looking for is an ontology that can maintain multiple dissenting views at the same time.

in the project at work for the museum, we're working together with Nanopublications and using them for the platform we're building there (not directly involved in that part myself, however). there, we use the Nanopubs to model the narratives users can add to the individual fields of the data that's published on the platform; so I'd say that a pretty similar use case to what we have in mind here.

the nice thing about Nanopublications is that they're very flexible (can wrap around pretty much anything) and that they ensure that the user retains authorship

I took a quick look around the page; could be a bit overkill for our purposes but it's super well-documented and the Python library looks very easy to use. so maybe we can just pick out the parts we need
