I just wanted to add something to the show and tell section.

I installed this on a Proxmox 9 host just for fun and to do some testing with it. It's working brilliantly so far. Thank you very much for this great piece of software. I also setup a script in cron that takes the output from "nmdctl --no-color status", filters on the array health status and sends it to syslog for alerting to keep an eye on the array.

If anyone else wants to get this running on proxmox, I'm happy to provide a small tutorial.

Cool! This inspired me to add a --cron option to nmdctl status (d2976ff), which skips getting the filesystem information as it's just informational and probably not useful in cron monitoring. It also makes the status command very slightly faster as it doesn't have to call different binaries to check the filesystems. Maybe the flag could also change the whole status output format to be more easily parseable in the future...

@rangerco1 I am in process of setting up my first array and while researching options came across this, thus it will be very helpful for me if you can please share your learnings and provide a small tutorial.

At the time, when I set it up on Proxmox, I had to figure out how to get the Ubuntu PPA working in Proxmox. But now, the project Dev has added Debian installation instructions, so you just need to follow those.
