"Frames are removed before the duplicate passes" - do "duplicate" steps follow a "cascaded" order or are they executed as batch?

It's clear that if frames are removed, the indexes used in the duplication steps must take into account the total amount of removed frames.

But I'm not quite sure if, in case of multiple duplication stepss, duplication step n. 2 should take into account the number of copies created by step n. 1.

I have the same identical question for hdr10plus_tool. Not sure if I should create the same post over there.

Duplications are done one at a time, in reversed offset order.
So the furthest frames are always duplicated first, thus not impacting the other ranges as long as they don't overlap.

The behaviour is the same in hdr10plus_tool
