Adding new host blocklist options.

The site http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm
hasn't been updated in over 4 years.

I want the ability to add custom host entries and have programs merge the lists. For example, I want to add:

https://nsfw-small.oisd.nl/

But I can't find a way to do it.

I can edit the hosts file manually or use a script, but it's a bit tricky because I need to deal with TinyWall — it's using the hosts file when the system starts. So I need to find a way to override or work around the file being used by another application.

I created a PowerShell script using SysInternals' handle.exe to update the hosts file with NSFW blocking entries. If the hosts file is locked by another process, the script uses handle.exe to release it.

The script downloads the list from https://nsfw-small.oisd.nl/
, reformats it, and appends it to a clean hosts file based on MVPS.

I’ve also scheduled the script to run only if the hosts file is older than one week.

It’s designed to help filter content on a child’s computer.
