Battery Board Terminals and Test Points #49

Hey @Mainestar. All of the test points and connectors are optional on the battery board. The goal was to give folks many options in how they interface with it. That's why those footprints are specifically not listed in the interactive BOM: Personally I just use a single vertical JST connector (and no test points), as illustrated on the battery board overview page and the board's repo. Whomever you're having assemble the boards is going to charge a lot for hand soldering of any through hole components (like the test points or screw terminals), so I recommend only populating what you expect you'll need. P.S. I'd be curious to hear what you get quoted for assembling these boards (if you don't mind reporting back). Good luck! |

Hi,
I am sending out the Gerber files and parts list to a pcb house that also does assembly.
I have all the parts identified from vendors with the exception of test points TP1-TP4 and screw terminals J8-J12.
I'm guessing that the test points are just a loop of wire and the screw terminals are surface mount ?
Does anyone have part numbers for the screw terminals?
Once I get this info, I will have the boards built.
Thank you
