Pulling in big repository

When i click pull all program freezes and after 10 sec i see a pop-up which tells me this msg:

"You asked me to pull without telling me which branch you
want to merge with, .."

The problem is that you should show a progress bar or something but application freeze is creepy :D test program on big repository.

also switching between repositories freezes application but it's not so long like in pulling
